Thrift Stores

The Foundation operates two thrift stores. Because we are a non-profit, your donations are tax- deductible. Also, all of the profits from the two stores go to The Arc to support the intellectually and developmentally disabled. This is different from “for-profit” stores, where private individuals/companies profit from your donations and give the charity a small portion of the proceeds. The Arc of Ventura County is the sole recipient of our stores' profits. So, whether you are donating items or shopping in our stores, you can feel good that you are helping those with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
